Social walks

🐾 Social Walks
Gentle walks, real-life practice, and calm company.
Our Social Walks are relaxed, structured group outings designed to help dogs build confidence, practice polite behavior, and learn to stay calm around others — all while enjoying nature together.
Reactivity or behavioral challenges? That’s okay!
Many of our walkers are working through things, too. All dogs are welcome — as long as they can be safely managed. For pups who need a little extra space or support, tools like muzzles are absolutely okay (and encouraged when needed) to keep everyone safe and comfortable.
🌸 No pressure, no judgment — just a peaceful, supportive space to grow.

Social Walk Rules – For a Safe and Calm Experience

Our Social Walk is not a playdate, but a structured training walk designed to help dogs learn how to calmly coexist around other dogs. Many of the participating dogs may be reactive or uncomfortable around others — mutual respect and awareness are essential.
Please follow these important guidelines:
1. No Direct Dog-to-Dog Contact
 • There will be no interactions between dogs, especially not on leash. This includes sniffing, greeting, or any physical contact.
 • Please do not allow your dog to approach others, even if they seem friendly.
2. Proper Equipment & Safety
 • All dogs must be securely leashed with a well-fitting harness or collar. No flexi-leads or long lines.
 • Dogs who wear a muzzle must have it properly fitted and introduced beforehand.
 • Please make sure your equipment is in good condition and escape-proof.
3. Respect Personal Space
 • Maintain a safe distance not only for your own dog but also for the dog in front of and behind you.
 • If you are unsure how much space is needed, ask me — more distance is always better than too little.
4. Stay Calm and Focused
 • Stay relaxed and aware of your dog’s body language at all times.
 • Do not feed or reward other people’s dogs.
 • If you need to step aside or take a break, please signal me discreetly.
5. This is a Training Walk
 • The goal is to teach your dog: “Yes, other dogs are here — but I can ignore them and just walk.”
 • We walk in a structured way to build calmness, confidence, and trust.
 • Let your dog observe, sniff, and exist without pressure to engage.

If you have questions before or during the walk, don’t hesitate to ask. Let’s work together to create a safe and positive experience for every dog and human in the group!

Is Your Dog Ready for the Social Walk? If you’re unsure whether your dog can comfortably walk in a group with at least five other dogs, that’s completely understandable. Every dog has their own pace when it comes to being around others. Before jumping into a larger group, we can schedule a short walk with just one or two calm, well-socialized dogs to see how your dog responds. This setting is often much easier to handle — especially since five reactive dogs together can easily feed off each other’s energy and become overwhelming.Feel free to reach out if you’d like to arrange a small trial or observation walk. That way, we can set your dog up for success without added stress.
